We are searching for an Associate Director, Product & Pipeline Communications, to lead the development and management of thought leadership communications strategies and programs to support our Global Clinical Development organization. This role is part of our Pipeline and Product Communications team in Corporate Affairs and will support the Global Clinical Development leadership teams in advancing our thought leadership strategy around the world by building out the Global Development narrative, adapting it for audiences in multiple countries, establishing core positioning, and overseeing leadership presence at top tier/priority forums in the U.S. and abroad.
This role is open for hybrid work - 2-3 days / wk. onsite at our HQ Campus in Sleepy Hollow, NY. This is not available as a fully remote role
The individual should have a strong understanding of the drug development process, with experience navigating urgent, time sensitive projects and creating content that clearly communicates complex information. They should be confident leading multiple strategies in tandem with other subject matter authorities and leaders.
A typical day might include:
- Working closely with Corporate Affairs and Global Clinical Development leaders to develop and lead all aspects of a comprehensive thought leadership and communications strategy that advances our communications objectives and corporate reputation in the U.S. and around the world.
- Partnering with Global Clinical Development leaders and subject matter experts to maximize impact; amplifying thought leadership and storytelling across executive leadership speaking forums, industry events, digital media, etc.
- Encouraging collaborative relationships across the organization to develop messaging for premier speaking engagements with Global Clinical Development leaders.
- Developing and implementing surround-sound communications plans, including paid, earned, and owned media.
- Developing strategies and implementing plans to announce external global partnerships and collaborations.
- Fostering connections between external thought leadership initiatives and internal Global Clinical Development communications
- Measuring and analyzing effectiveness of communications approaches and codifying standard processes and best practices; leading the implementation of strategic or tactical changes to improve outcomes.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills
The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in the biopharma industry with prior experience supporting Communications initiatives, thought leadership and media, and digital campaigns. Global experience will be viewed favorably though not required.
