The role has been designed to attract experienced individuals with Invoice Finance sales experience or enthusiastic and talented individuals which may be new to Invoice Finance. For all applicants, it would be advantageous to have sales experience, strong communications skills and an ability to create and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
The role will offer comprehensive training and learning, which will be tailored to suit the successful candidate. As a minimum expectation, the learning plan will include undertaking the Invoice Finance Foundation Course, which is UK Finance’s entry-level qualification.
The Associate Director role will cover Edinburgh and the East of Scotland, in addition to the North of Scotland, which includes areas such as Aberdeen, Dundee, the Highlands and more. It would be advantageous to be located in, or close to, these regions. Furthermore, there will be an expectation for the successful candidate to attend client meetings both in person and virtually.
The successful candidate should have a genuine interest in assisting SMEs with their cashflow requirements, and be able to deliver appropriate solutions at pace.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our North East & Scotland Sales Team as one of our Associate Directors located in, or close to, Edinburgh and the East of Scotland or the North of Scotland.
What we'll need from you:
Invoice Finance sales experience would be beneficial but is not necessary. The ideal applicant should be highly motivated and a keen learner. They should have a successful track record of sales delivery, strong communication skills and an ability to create and maintain strong stakeholder relationships. Furthermore, they must have a genuine interest in assisting SMEs with their cashflow requirements and be able to deliver appropriate solutions at pace.
After your learning plan is complete, you'll be responsible for the provision of Invoice Finance solutions to small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs) across Scotland. This will include working alongside Relationship Bank Managers and other Product Partners within Lloyds Banking Group and Key Business Introducers externally to source new opportunities. You'll then be responsible for meeting prospects face-to-face, and virtually, and conducting high quality fact find meetings to identify whether Invoice Finance is an appropriate solution. If appropriate, you'll take lead in tailoring the solution to meet the prospect’s needs, selling our service and negotiating facility pricing. After gaining agreement to proceed, you would be required to write structured proposals for credit sanctioning as well as conducting a smooth on-boarding journey. You would work closely with our Client Managers who handle the client relationship after the deal has been concluded.
Essential:
- Located in, or close to, Edinburgh and the East of Scotland or the North of Scotland
- Self-motivated and keen to learn
- Proven track record of sales delivery
- Able to identify and self-generate new opportunities
- Strong communication skills, both over the telephone and in-person
- Ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to ensure business opportunities are maximised
- Desire to self-build a network of individuals from the local professional community, with the aim of being able to utilise these connections for business development opportunities
- A genuine interest in assisting SMEs with their cashflow requirements
- An ability to work at pace
