Supervisor: Director of Enrollment Management
Position Description:
The Associate Director of Enrollment Management works closely with the Director of Enrollment Management in support of all functions of the Enrollment Management Office, including the overall promotion of the school and its mission and preparation for admissions and enrollment events and functions throughout the year, demonstrating and maintaining applicant and family confidentiality throughout. Building strong relationships with all constituencies while maintaining an organized admissions process is the first priority within this role.
Major Responsibilities:
- Build strong working relationships with all constituencies: families, faculty and staff, administrators, and colleagues at other schools.
- Provide a warm and welcoming point of contact for all families interested in CHS.
- Support daily operations of the Enrollment Management Office, including conducting tours and interviews with prospective families and responding to applicant inquiries.
- Provide consistent guidance and follow-up to families through every step of the admissions process from inquiry to enrollment.
- Understand issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion within an independent school context and work to advance DEI within the admissions and enrollment process.
- Coordinate and perform assessments of all applicants, in cooperation with the Director of Enrollment Management.
- Complete written documentation regarding each prospective family and assess feedback from applicant families.
- Contribute to statistical reports that reflect an understanding of admissions, marketing, and strategy.
- Work with the Director of Enrollment Management and the Director of Communications and Marketing to plan, implement, and assess marketing strategies for CHS.
- Assist with the management of financial aid applications and serve on the financial aid committee.
- Serve on all admission committees.
- Represent CHS at recruiting events, fairs, and open houses.
- Maintain family and student records within the admissions database (Ravenna).
Requirements for the position:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Warm and personable demeanor with a good sense of humor, considerable patience, and an ability to smile throughout a busy admissions season
- High energy and enthusiasm about working in an academic atmosphere with young children
- Passionate about the mission and vision of the school
- Prior experience in elementary education or admissions preferred
- Flexibility as the ebbs and flows of the admissions season shift workload; may require some work in the evenings or on weekends as needed
- Dedication to a high level of confidentiality
- Highly developed organizational skills
- Exceptionally capable in both written and oral communication
- Technologically savvy
- Proven success at working collaboratively and efficiently on a creative and goal-oriented team
- Able to make quick decisions, take initiative, and prioritize task
- Prior experience with applications such as Ravenna or BigSIS is helpful, though a willingness to approach learning new databases is essential.
