Summary of the Practice

Anthesis’ Sustainable Production & Consumption Practice operates across the private, not for profit, and public sectors. Our objective is to address the environmental and social consequences of global production and consumption, across the full product life cycle from raw materials to consumption and end of life. Unsustainable consumption is accelerating market and systemic failures and solution development demands a courageous new approach. This is driving a global need for expertise and service provision across a diverse range of themes:

  • Resource depletion and preservation, regeneration and circularity;
  • Voluntary initiatives, regulations and treaties;
  • Toxicity in the environment and leakage to the natural world;
  • Social impact and equity in production (supply chain & conditions) & consumption (consumers & accessibility to services);
  • Education and awareness;
  • Decarbonization;
  • Action to reduce commodity & energy use in face of rising costs.

We have been building a large and diverse team that combines deep sustainability expertise with the strategic, commercial, operational, and brand capabilities it takes to deliver real change.

There are currently three large centres of excellence within the Sustainable Production & Consumption Practice globally: North America, Spain and UK. We are hiring for an inspiring and experienced leader for the UK’s team to build the next part of our market roadmap and align with the growth of the Practice within our EMELA (Europe, Middle East, Latin America) region.

The UK practice is currently made up of several Service areas, including circularity, waste, sustainable products, sustainable packaging and sustainable chemistry, which address the breadth of the product value chain. These Services have strong leadership and capable technical delivery teams. There is a potential to expand the Service Areas, in line with other parts of the global practice, to include new offerings to the UK market including circular revenue models and campaigns/awareness.

These different teams work closely and collaboratively and team members use their skills to service clients and offerings across the wider Practice Service Areas. They also often a support colleagues and Services from other UK Practices and within the global Anthesis framework.

Our culture is founded on the empowerment of great people, working in agile teams, in a high-ownership, high-accountability and fast-paced environment. We take pride in being a values-driven organization that does impactful work and respects the need for work-life balance. We are curious and always learning from each other. We challenge and inspire one another. We show up each day as our authentic selves. We are proud of what we have achieved so far, but we have more to do. Our success depends on attracting, empowering, and growing world-class leaders that will help us transform the organizations we serve.
