About the team
The Industry and Services Risk Consulting team primarily provide outsourced and co-sourced internal audit services, however we also provide (or support other teams with the delivery of) a range of risk-based engagements including programme health checks, board effectiveness reviews and external quality assessments, to name but a few.

The Advisory & Consulting service line is a rapidly growing, award winning, global group of successful teams working together to present a go-to-market differentiator whilst delivering the highest quality of work for our clients.
About the role
This exciting role will drive the SOX practice for the Mazars Industry and Services (I&S) Risk Consulting sector. We have a huge opportunity to develop our footprint in this competitive market and accelerate the growth and development of our SOX / internal controls solution.
As an SOX Associate Director within the I&S Team, you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of SOX / internal controls services, to a range of international clients.
Having experienced significant growth, the team are looking for a motivated individual, who will have excellent opportunities for progression.
What are we looking for?
- Management of a portfolio of clients including overseeing the delivery of the SOX programmes, committee reporting and other responsibilities.
- Supporting our clients through the delivery of advisory as well as assurance control-based services which will provide you with the opportunity to be involved in a variety of different projects.
- Supporting the Partners and Directors in key business development activities for new work including targeting, writing proposals, presentations and thought leadership.
- Performance and management of internal controls fieldwork and other specialist assignments such as effectiveness reviews.
- Plan for and engage the expertise of subject matter experts from across teams as required to provide support in the delivery of new components that enable us to meet the BEIS requirements.
- Holds either ACA, CA, ACCA, IIA or CII (or equivalent) qualification.
- Experience working with large, complex, listed and privately owned, organisations.
- Ability to execute controls documentation and testing in accordance with SOX, audit, and service organisation controls reporting standards. Up to date and aware of the upcoming changes to the UK corporate governance reform.
