• Excellent academic qualifications
• Minimum 3+ years' post-qualification legal experience in an international law firm or highly regarded in-house team
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Transactional experience, including drafting and negotiating commercial contracts

Do you want to work on cutting edge legal issues and help shape the future of Amazon’s products and services? We are looking for a smart, motivated junior lawyer to provide legal support to Amazon’s Consumer business in the UK.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing day-to-day legal support to the UK and EU Consumer business teams and developing strategies for handling legal issues in creative, efficient, and business-centric ways
• Helping business teams launch new services and features for customers and sellers in the UK and EU
• Serving as lead counsel in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements
• Advising on strategies for commercial dispute resolution
• Advising on general regulatory issues and responding to contacts from regulators

We are looking for candidates who are innovative, customer-obsessed, and enjoy being continually challenged. You should be extremely hands-on, capable of working both independently and as part of a team, and passionate about finding solutions amid complexity and ambiguity. The role is based in London.

• Some in-house experience preferred
• Experience in commercial or IP dispute resolution
• Ability to prioritise in a fast-moving environment
• Excellent organizational skills and proficient in managing multiple projects and deadlines at once
• Capable of leading complex and time sensitive projects and co-ordinating internal stakeholders and external advisors
• Great business judgment and sharp analytical skills
