Who we're looking for
We're looking for a Business Analyst to join our Marketing Automation team as an Associate. Someone with the desire to help design and optimise Marketing Automation solutions which are underpinned by our core stack consisting of Pardot, Salesforce, Tealium and Cvent. In collaboration with our Digital Marketing experts, we want someone who is passionate about building the tools to allow us to deliver great client engagement.
You'll need to be both creative and analytical, with the ability to understand and articulate business challenges and /or ideas, explore them and contribute to the implementation of the functionality safely into our production environment.
You'll work closely with business stakeholders such in Marketing, Events and Sales, you will create, develop and maintain marketing systems that increase and improve client engagement.
You will be involved in various aspects of the delivery of projects, from joining workshops to working with marketers to scope enhancements or new project concepts, delivery plans and supporting the team to provide solutions.

The team
The Marketing Automation team creates and supports the applications used by our Sales and Client Servicing teams. Our technology footprint includes applications and systems, split between vendor and in-house developed, all designed with the common objective of being digitally and data driven. Not only do we rapidly respond to the demands of the external environment and those of our Sales and Client Service teams, the team is also strategically positioned to deliver innovative solutions.
Your primary team will be our Marketing technology group which covers both Marketing automation and analytics and has a keen interest in measuring our Marketing effectiveness. The team has colleagues globally, covering our North American and APAC offices as well.
What you'll do
- Interact directly with business users to identify their needs. Leading analysis tasks which contribute to the delivery of data solutions, actively participate in business process design and changes, gather business requirements, and translate those requirements into functional solutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure that features and stories, to be delivered, are suitably well defined and structured; as well as to effectively deliver working data solutions that are fit for purpose.
- Partner with data engineers and the wider technology team to enable quality data flows for business insights and personalisation leveraging the Marketing technology stack, second and third party data sources
- Collaborate actively with product owner to ensure the change pipeline is always up to date, and with broader Digital Marketing and Technology teams to ensure alignment on roadmap.
- Organise technical changes from requirement gathering, through development, testing up to documentation & user training.
- Contribute to agile ceremonies, planning, including sizing stories, parsing user stories into tasks, demos, etc.; ensuring user stories are delivered to the ‘working system' definition of done
- Manage new data and application onboarding as well as change in existing applications across their entire lifecycle, from design over build, testing and training to the release stage, in collaboration with the vendor and contractors to ensure data requirements are delivered and optimised
- Work with colleagues from other agile teams and shared service teams to both communicate and accept dependencies
- Ensure continued improvement through conducting regular retrospective reviews and executing high priority actions that emerge
- Support users in daily operations (2nd/3rd level incident management)
- Perform the role of Scrum Master for the agile team if required to do so
- Have a passion for keeping up to date with the latest industry trends in data, Marketing and digital technologies, demonstrate thought leadership and coach other team members.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
- Experience of providing business insights through the configuration, analysis and presentation of Google Analytics
- Experience with a CDP including configuration and application of use cases (e.g. Tealium, Salesforce or Adobe)
- Programming/automation experience in Python and SQL
- Knowledge of Business Analysis techniques gained through real examples of complex integrations
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies
- High level of organisational skills to sustain momentum in multiple work-streams.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
- Experience working on data visualisation tooling e.g. Tableau Server and Tableau Desktop, Tableau CRM
- Experience delivering end-to-end solutions using Salesforce Sales Cloud and Pardot or Marketing Cloud
- Experience in configuration of Pardot or Marketing Cloud and its integration with supporting MarTech platforms, for example Salesforce, Headless CMS, CDP (Tealium), Bynder and Events Management Platforms.
- Relevant and up-to-date Salesforce or Pardot certification (E.g. Salesforce Certified Pardot Specialist, Salesforce Certified Pardot Consultant)
- Experience building custom integrations and user interfaces using Pardot API
- A solid understating of global marketing preferences and GDPR
- Agile certification e.g. Scrum.org
- Experience with Cloud technologies e.g. Azure Fundamentals or AWS.
