Propeller Studios Ltd is a successful and growing bid consultancy business with a reputation for assisting clients in winning major tender opportunities. We work for a wide selection of construction sectors and clients, with relationships stretching back over 20 years.
Our client list includes major construction and civil engineering companies.. Sectors included New Build, Refurbishment, Gas Servicing, Rail, Water, Consultant Frameworks and Civil Engineering.
We are looking for associate bid writers to support our expansion and growth. Associates will receive excellent remuneration based upon an agreed schedule of rates for work undertaken.
Job Description
Key responsibilities of the Associate Bid Writer will include weekly communication with our in house bid team who look after our client base of large national contractors and the writing and management of high-profile public sector bids up to £5bn in value. The associate will provide details of availability based upon their own workload, allowing us to plan capacity to undertake work.
The associate bid writer will act as a consultant to us and will be remunerated relative to the size and complexity of the work that they undertake. They will act as cover for the inhouse team due to capacity issues occasioned through staff holidays or busy periods.
In addition, the maintenance of excellent mutually beneficial relationships with our client portfolio will be an ongoing priority: exceeding their requirements and adding value to their business, including helping them to successfully win new business.
Person Specification
The Associate Bid Writer will have valid and current experience in writing bids for construction related clients and will possess a good and up-to-date working knowledge of the UK construction sector. Articulate and possessing excellent communication skills (especially in written documents), they will use these abilities, together with their specialist knowledge, to have established a track record of successfully securing large tenders in excess of £5m. Creative, well organised and excellent at time management, they will work closely with our directly employed team to delight all of their stakeholders.

Salary: £25,000 - £50,000 per year
Note: Work will be contract based and fees will be set depending on the length and complexity of each project. The salary range above is simply a guide as to how much work our associate bid writer could expect per annum.
