Associate Banker
London
As a Barclays Associate Banker for International Corporate Banking, you will support and contribute to the growth of one or more client portfolios. You will work closely with Bankers and other Associate Bankers to proactively develop and maintain new and existing client relationships. In your new role, you will play a crucial role in enabling our journey to become the banker of choice for our clients’ Corporate and Investment Banking needs, whilst developing the skills and product knowledge to build a career as a Corporate Banker.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. • Helping colleagues and managing client portfolios to develop and maintain relationships proactively
- Using and embedding wider central support tools and Enablers e.g. Siebel/ Client Servicing. Challenge servicing request demand from colleagues
- Leading and ensuring a robust contact strategy is in place to improve or grow client satisfaction and/or net promoter score
- Maintaining relevant customer information to manage customer experience
- Providing assistance to colleagues with credit applications & providing help as required for credit, Adopt Enablers e.g. Byron and Instant Lending
- Ensuring that new/existing clients and products are set up on relevant systems whilst working with the KYC team to obtain all relevant KYC documentation
- Taking personal accountability for your own development, using development tools and actively sharing your skills and knowledge with your colleagues
- Ensuring compliance with mandatory risk policies and procedures relating to governance, regulatory compliance, operational and legal risk
• Track record of delivering results through building relationships
- Solid customer and internal network relationships
- Experience in client service and communication
- Great planning and organisational skills
• Awareness of business/ personal customer solutions
- Be qualified or working towards Professional Study Qualifications eg. IFS
- Knowledge of Lending related activity
- Knowledge of Corporate Banking and role of segments within this
