Associate Banker
Birmingham
As a Barclays Associate Banker, you’ll be assisting and contributing to the growth of one or more relationship managed portfolios across UK Corporate Banking. Closely working with one or more Bankers and/or Associate Bankers to delight customers and maximise overall satisfaction & advocacy. Proactive use of broader client/colleague support functions to enable our journey to become the ‘go-to’ bank. You will develop a solid foundation in Corporate Banking knowledge, skills and forms a key step in the career path to becoming a Corporate Banker.

- Supporting Banker(s) to proactively develop and maintain new and existing client relationships
- Improving and maintaining Client Satisfaction scores by providing exceptional service by deepening your knowledge with clients and their needs
- Developing a working knowledge of key Corporate Banking products applicable to your segment
- Leading active client meeting preparation and attend meetings with Banker(s) where appropriate
- Ensuring servicing activity is directed towards the appropriate contact point and educate clients to use the correct servicing channels
- Managing portfolio contact strategy, including input into Client Account Plans
- Undertaking timely Client Service Reviews and maintaining accurate client records in Salesforce
- Taking ownership in the handling of client complaints and ensure conformance with regulatory complaints policy
- Track record of delivering results through building relationships
- Solid customer relationships & internal network relationships
- Experience in client service & communication
- Planning and organisational skills
- Awareness of business/personal customer solutions
- Be qualified or working towards Professional Study Qualifications eg IFS
- Knowledge of Lending related activity
- Significant Knowledge of Corporate Banking and role of segments within this
Where will you be working?
Barclays Snowhill is at the heart of the professional district and commands a workforce of around 1000. With great transport links to Birmingham Grand Central and Snowhill train stations as well as the local metro. Our office has a dedicated staff coffee shop and deli and break out areas for staff.
