The Senior Associate, Corporate Benefits Strategic-Delivery role is a key strategic role on the team, primarily responsible for investigating, developing, and implementing healthcare strategy solutions and enhancements to the firm’s medical plan.
The JPMorgan Chase U.S. Benefits team is responsible for managing the firm’s healthcare, insurance, and retirement programs for 165,000 U.S. employees and their families. This includes the day to day managing and monitoring plans covering billions of dollars of annual spend, dozens of vendor relationships, engaging employee facing systems and communications, and partnering with various other areas of the firm ranging from other HR groups to finance and tech to the businesses and functions employing our people. Strategically, this team is responsible for benchmarking our offerings to maintain our market position and to keep current on trends and offerings in the marketplace, with a goal of offering an attractive benefits package to attract and retain our most critical asset – our people.
You will play a key strategic role on the team, primarily responsible for investigating, developing, and implementing healthcare strategy solutions and enhancements to the firm’s medical plan.
Job Responsibilities:
- Proactively communicate, and provide training on changes in administration and design, as well as customer facing issues to stakeholders
- Assist in document/testing implementation of required system changes for both ongoing as well as Annual Enrollment to account for various changes required due to design enhancements, regulatory requirements, and customer improvements; review and approve specs developed as part of changes
- Continually work toward process improvements and efficiencies
- Maintain a strong control environment
- Conduct User Acceptance testing as needed across our various administrative and other benefit vendors
- Review various participant facing communications, making sure they are accurate and clearly understandable and appropriately reflect operational components of our plans
- Generate various ad hoc queries to support departmental needs
- Complete testing of various internal websites including My Health, me@JPMC, etc. to determine that benefits data is properly reflected
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 5-7 years in corporate benefits or benefits consulting/administration
- Must have experience working in a strategic, analytical, or metric driven position
- Strong project management skills with a commitment to continuous improvement
- Superior analytical, quality assurance and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail
- Solid knowledge of standard desktop applications: MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Access
- Knowledge of benefit plan rules and provision
- Ideal to have large firm experience (25,000 plus employees)
