Job Summary
We are looking for team members that are passionate about using data to accelerate product development, drive business growth, and improve the Chase customer experience. A successful Sr. Associate Area Data Owner ,will be important to the firm’s agenda of enabling the business to provide faster innovation through the use of its data by ensuring that data is clearly documented, of good quality and well-protected. This role is responsible for all data that is created, provisioned, or consumed in one or more business applications, and which may support business objectives, advanced analytics, business operations, and reporting functions.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop operational procedures for developing and delivering data in support of business operation, strategic objective and advance analytics goals.
- Leverage subject matter expertise and key partnerships to define metadata and classifiers of data critical to their business area
- Define and document data requirements of key stakeholders to ensure understanding of data and its use across business and functions
- Partner with technology and business resources to ensure content and quality standards of data in their business area meet established requirements
- Execute processes and procedures in the product management lifecycle. Identify, monitor, and mitigate risks across the application and data lifecycle in their business area, such as risks related to protection, retention and destruction, storage, use, and quality
- Partner with technology and business resources to investigate root causes of data issues and provided recommendations for remediation.
- May manage direct or matrixed staff to execute data-related tasks
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor's degree plus 3+ years of industry experience in a data-related field.
- Subject matter expertise in business or product data or processes.
- Technical knowledge of data management and governance, big data platforms, or data architecture preferred.
- Proven ability to execute via internal partnerships.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Structured thinker with good business acumen.

- Domain Learning
- Knowledge of query or analytical programming languages
- Knowledge of cloud-based technologies
- Knowledge of ETL principles or data structures
