Job description

hello, we're inBeta

An award-winning executive talent and leadership performance business enabled by technology, bridging people investment and results while alleviating the impact of bias.

We set out to revolutionise the executive recruitment industry and are on a mission to enable companies to benefit from hidden talent currently overlooked by a worldwide recruiting culture that is no longer fit for purpose.

Culturally derived biases (which we all have) lead to poor hiring practices. As a result, people with enormous potential are not uncovered in selection processes or, worse, not adequately supported in the role and are left to fail once appointed.

Since our founding, inBeta has become the talent partner of choice from technology scale-ups to some of the largest consumer brands in the world; where we are helping people to achieve their full potential, regardless of their background, and empower organisations to make intelligent, data-backed decisions when it comes to talent.

As the company transitions from start-up to scale-up, we're looking to grow our family and hire two Associates.

Tasks

The Roles

Now we should say, an Associate at inBeta - is not a narrow role, so please, read carefully before applying!

Our ability to solve our client's leadership challenges rests heavily on the insights, intelligence, and knowledge we surface throughout our engagements.

To help address this, our Associates can have two core focuses - either front or back office. (Growth & Sales or Delivery)

Both remits work very closely with our founding team and client portfolio, collaborating with them to understand our client's organisational challenges.

✍️ What You'll Be Doing

To provide an example of what your duties will be, but not limited to:

  • Conduct in-depth secondary research about industries, companies and individuals (incl. but not limited to research about performance, strategy, and people moves) using our in-house technology and broader external resources
  • Creating or updating appropriate materials, including decks and market maps
  • Preparing marketing materials
  • Shadowing colleagues to understand our process, including sourcing, referencing, and assessment
  • Additional ad hoc duties as required
Requirements

What you'll need

We are looking for a creative thinker who takes ownership of tasks to join our growing team. Forensic in your approach, you will be invested in helping our clients build exceptional businesses.

You will likely be someone who fills the following skills and motivations:

A high-energy individual with ambition, and a can-do attitude.... But what does this mean in reality?

To be frank

You genuinely like being consistently challenged, hard work and very career-focused with a 'can do' approach and proven problem-solving skills;

  • You will be able to handle difficult situations and manage a demanding and diverse workload, adapting quickly according to the team's requirements and requests outside of the team.;
  • A strong ability, passion and total commitment to ensuring efficient, effective systems, process and procedure management; demonstrable evidence of accuracy, organisational efficiency and outstanding attention to detail;
  • Natural verbal and written communication skills; competent in preparing well-constructed and well-presented written documentation, together with the confidence to justify and underpin recommendations;
  • You like to juggle tasks and ambiguity.... To be good at this, you need to be methodical and analytical in how you work, resulting in quality and accurate outputs;
  • Very computer-literate and geek out a bit on tech products - including capability in Microsoft, Google, Monday, Hubspot and Adobe Product Suites (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign - and if you haven't, have the desire to geek up very quickly);
Academics and Experiance

As touched upon, this opportunity is aimed at incredibly ambitious individuals.

We would expect to see at least one year's experience within UK executive search/recruitment and you'll likely be degree educated with a 2:1 or above, with a master's in business or equivalent. However, that's not to say that you can't explore the role if you're not - just think out of the box about how you will get our attention and demonstrate your relevance from your career journey to date.

Finally, you must have the legal right to work in the UK, and be based within a commutable distance to our London office and P.S. We really like learning more about you - and very much recommend providing a cover letter, when you apply to accompany your resume.

Benefits

The package

  • Competitive package based on experience + up to 50% annual performance-related bonus with yearly salary reviews
  • Working within a fun, dynamic and motivated team with significant exposure to our Leadership Team comprising of FTSE 100 C-Suite executives.
Working at inBeta

inBeta is a start-up, to scale-up looking to make a global impact.

These words either excite people or send shivers down their spine, and that's ok. A business like inBeta, at our present stage, is a continual unknown; every day for us is uncharted waters!

This means fun, creativity, and rapid career growth.... It also means incredible agility is required and suits deeply ambitious people with a high work ethic supported by intellectual rigour and the ability to think outside the box. However, we can promise that we believe in nurturing people to improve them. Providing dedication, motivation, trust, transparency and, most importantly, listening - meaning having the freedom to work in your own way.

Ultimately, to be great at this job - it comes down to mindset, and a willingness to want to learn-to-learn, as well as win (Both as an individual and team)!
