We are seeking an excellent teacher of Science and a committed senior leader passionate about developing the quality of education within Science and across our school as a whole. As Associate Assistant Principal you will be a part of the core Senior Leadership Team driving Firth Park Academy toward excellence. Our Associate Assistant Principals in core subjects work together to strengthen the quality of education across our school by implementing Trust-wide and school specific approaches to curriculum and pedagogical development. As Associate Assistant Principal you will also have strategic oversight of the Science faculty working with the Director of Learning to strengthen pupil outcomes through the development of the curriculum, as well as the quality of teaching and learning across the faculty.
Associate Assistant Principal - Science, will take a role in:
Formulating the aims and objectives of the school- Establishing policies for achieving these aims and objectives
- Managing staff and resources to that end
- Monitoring progress towards the achievement of the school’s aims and objectives
The ideal candidate will:
- Have strong leadership qualities and a commitment to excellent teaching and learning opportunities for our students
- Be passionate about Science
- Have a proven track record of success and raising pupil attainment in Science
- Have the ability to deliver innovative lessons, which demonstrate high expectations of students, and inspire them to succeed, improving achievement at both Key Stages for all learners.
