Job description
The University of Manchester is seeking to develop its capacity and capability to undertake detailed analysis across a range of data sets, to enable the generation of the insight that can inform decision making and action planning. The role sits within the Workforce Planning and Talent team, reporting into the Lead Workforce Data Analyst which supports the University’s strategic workforce planning processes, provides key management information and insight to senior decision makers and leads initiatives to transform and improve organisational design in the University. The post holder will become a member of the University’s analytical community and will be invited to share best practice with their peers.
Overall Purpose of the Job
- Support the Lead Workforce Data Analyst in setting up and improving the visualisation, reporting and dissemination of key insights.
- Undertake analysis on a range of people and activity datasets, to generate insight that supports decision-making aligned to the University goals.
- Promote a self-service automation model for routine requests, through direct contact with requestors and stakeholders and showcasing solutions created individually or in partnership with peers in the domain.
