Overview
The Assistant Web & SEO Manager role sits as part of the Digital Marketing team and will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of search engine optimisation on the KPMG UK website, with the aim to deliver a best-in-class web experience. This role will focus on improving search engine rankings, driving organic traffic and increasing visibility for our marketing programmes, campaigns and content. The responsibilities will primarily be on SEO, alongside general web experience where required. The individual will also collaborate closely with the rest of the digital marketing team, as well as marketing peers across capabilities, sectors, firm-wide, brand and content.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting to: Web Experience Manager, Digital Marketing
- Support in executing the SEO strategy to drive traffic, revenue and support our acquisition goals
- Conduct keyword research to identify relevant, high-traffic keywords and phrases
- Optimisation of pages and content to drive performance and deliver an excellent audience experience
- Provide best practice recommendations to improve search visibility and rankings
- Perform keyword research in line with business priorities
- Provide in-depth performance analysis against targets
- Work closely with the wider marketing stakeholders to ensure SEO principles are considered in campaign delivery
- Work closely with our global colleagues to deliver local and global alignment
- Work closely with our third-party agencies, including media agency and SEO agency
- Champion a data led approach with the benefits of SEO across the marketing team and wider business
- Stay up to date on industry trends, competitors, best practices, regulation, and innovation, particularly around web design, SEO, personalisation, user journeys, GDPR, and automation
- Actively work with other teams across Sales & Marketing to deliver a connected one team culture
The Person
Required skills and qualifications
- Two to four years marketing experience - with proven SEO experience
- Passionate about SEO, across technical and content
- Knowledgeable of the core fundamentals of SEO
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices and principles
- Experience across site crawling tools e.g. Screaming Frog and SEO insights tools e.g. Brightedge, SEMrush
- Experience of AEM advantageous
- Paid search experience advantageous
- Understanding of web experience and UX
- Wants to be part of a collaborative, high performing team
- Future focussed - proactive and keen to stay ahead of the curve
- Ability to challenge and be challenged on key ideas and concepts
- Test and learn mentality - consistently looking to review better ways of doing things and leveraging tech to deliver
- Analytical ability to review data, content, market trends and insights
- Exceptional spoken and written communications skills - with the ability to flex personal style to engage every audience
- Experience working in a professional services environment would be advantageous
- Brings a real sense of fun and energy to the role and team
