Bradford Council’s Neighbourhood and Customer Services Team is looking for the next generation of Locality leadership!

You will be guided through the intricacies of Neighbourhood and partnership working by a committed and enthusiastic team of Ward Officers, part of a diverse workforce in Bradford Council working out of the Bradford East Area Co-ordinators Office.
Each successful applicant will be required to work towards a fully funded Degree, equivalent Level 6 Apprenticeship in Leadership and Management.
We are looking for a diverse team of people who can:
- Motivate people to take action in their local area
- Understand community engagement principles
- Assist in the leadership of projects that result in positive outcomes
- Assist in the leadership of effective multi-agency and partnership working that creates extra value in service delivery
- Assist in the co-ordination and facilitation of public engagement and consultations in communities
- Provide support and guidance to Elected Members in their community leadership role.
We are looking for people who are:
- Educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and at least 3 years’ practical full-time experience working within a complex multi-agency setting.
- OR have at least 5 years’ practical full-time experience working within a complex multi-agency setting in a related area of employment.
This will be a politically restricted post.
The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016, requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.
