Role – Assistant Urban Designer
Location – London
Salary - £22K - £25K DOE
Our client is an Award-Winning Design Consultancy who specialise in landscape architecture, urban design, architecture and environmental planning. They are currently looking to recruit a talented Graduate or Assistant Urban Designer with between 1 and 3 years' experience to join their team in Central London. They have an impressive portfolio of global, national and regional projects at all stages of the planning, design and construction process including development promotion, masterplanning, public realm design, rural and green infrastructure planning, design and restoration of parks and green space.
The ideal Assistant Urban Designer will have a strong academic background along with a passion for urban design, regeneration and sustainability and will be enthusiastic about delivering design. The successful Assistant Urban Designer will be an enthusiastic team player who will enjoy working in a collaborative team environment to tight deadlines and demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels and backgrounds, including the design team, clients and external consultants.
ASSISTANT URBAN DESIGNER KEY SKILL AND QUALIFICATIONS
- A degree in Urban Design
- 1 – 3 years’ experience
- Good software skills in AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Sketch Up, as well as Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent hand drawing skills
- The ability to work and manage projects, with a strong attention to detail
- The ability to successfully manage time to meet project deadlines
- An excellent communicator
- A full UK driving licence
