Assistant Underwriter – Salary up to £26,000.

A bit about the job:
Together, we'll be working towards providing a comprehensive service which aids our team of underwriters. This will include building a successful network of internal and external relationships; responding to a variety of enquiries and meeting high standards to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Collaborating with our Trading Underwriter team in London to deliver end-to-end policy management for large, complex corporate risks.
- Delivering business-important metrics alongside our management team.
- Spotting and driving opportunities for operational improvements.
- Acting on feedback from customers and sharing ideas with managers and peers.
- Taking personal responsibility for development in line with business strategy.
- Occasional requirement for travel to our London office.
Aviva uses “smart-working”, and the person in this role can be based in Worthing.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Proven record of delivering excellent customer outcomes.
- Experience in building and encouraging positive internal and external relationships.
- Good knowledge of IT including spreadsheets; databases and word processing.
- Previous underwriting experience is not essential as full training will be provided.
- Previous experience in the insurance or financial industry is preferable but, again, not essential.

- Salary up to £26,000 (negotiable; depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
