Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the transportation operations of the company
- Develop and implement transportation strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs
- Coordinate and schedule transportation activities, including route planning, vehicle maintenance, and driver assignments
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards
- Monitor and analyze transportation metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve overall supply chain performance
- Manage relationships with transportation service providers and negotiate contracts
- Train and develop transportation staff to ensure high performance
Skills:
- Strong leadership and management abilities
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards
- Proficiency in using transportation management systems or software
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
