Be a member of a theatre team, providing support and assistance to professionally qualified staff and other team members. Responsibilities will include participating in patient care, equipment care, infection control, ancillary and clerical duties.

Due to the expansion in our emergency CEPOD provision, changes in staffing arrangements in our obstetric theatres and the provision of short stay ambulatory day care facilities several new posts are now available.
We are looking for flexible, highly motivated and caring Assistant Theatre Practitioners to join our busy Operating Theatre Department. In line with Trust Policy, we support various, flexible working options, where they can be sustained without being detrimental to our service provision.
The department has ten operating suites, three of which are laminar flow and one is an integrated vascular hybrid suite. Specialties undertaken include: Adults, Paediatrics, General surgery, Colorectal, T&O, Vascular, Gynaecology, Obstetrics and more. We provide a 24hr emergency service 7days per week; as such shift patterns are variable.
Essential requirements:
- Good standard of education
- Willingness to undertake training as required for the post
- Good communication skills: Verbal, Written, Electronic
- Enthusiastic, Motivated, Reliabl
