Full Job Description
We are currently looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join our team. You will support the Store Manager/Owner in running the shop to serve the studley community that rely on our shop, as well as motivating and developing the team within the store to maximise store performance.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for opening & setting up the store (Nisa and Post office).
- Must be willing to cover shop hours if we have absences or sickness.
- Going to the cash & carry to get stock for shop
- Manage all deliveries to the shop
- Manage the lottery machine, costa machine, post office, tango ice blast etc
- Working as part of the managerial team, motivating and encouraging the store staff.
- Customer service is paramount, delivering a friendly & approachable attitude.
- Ensure correct stock rotation & date checking procedures are adhered to.
- Ensure the cleaning rota is kept too
- Accurately operate the EPOS system efficiently.
- Stock replenishment, ability to be able read the data and order stock accordingly.
- Stock control & stock taking ensuring accurate information is recorded.
- Prepare weekly/Monthly reports on store performance
In the absence of the store manager/owner: -
- Complete the daily banking procedure for both Nisa and Post office
- Run a team of staff, giving them objectives to be fulfilled in a given time frame.
- Maximising the sales on the shop floor to deliver the stores targets.
- Ensure the stock is put onto the shop floor
- Pick up stock from the cash and carry using the company van - (Click and collect service).
Ideal Candidate
- No previous experience necessary – full training will be given.
- Enthusiastic and flexible with the ability to multi-task.
- Hands on Approach working 5 days week.
- Able to plan, organise and prioritise effectively.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to build a quick and strong rapport with other individuals.
- Post Office Experience ideal but not essential.
- Driving Licence essential.
