Brief Description
The Engineering function determines the asset management specifications and engineering competencies required to maintain, renew, and enhance the railway network, so it is able to deliver the high performance levels that the business requires. It is tasked with making engineering decisions as cost effectively as possible to satisfy the needs of the customer and the business - its focus is delivering Network Rails vision of engineering excellence for Britain's railway. As an Assistant Signal & Telecoms Maintenance Engineer, you will manage and direct the Technical Support Team to provide production, performance, assurance, technical, analytical and data quality support to the Maintenance Engineering team.
About the role (External)
The successful candidate will manage and direct the Technical support team to achieve business and functional objectives and meet key performance measures. A key part of this role will be to manage development of individuals and the engagement of the team, arranging for staff safety and competence, as well as undertaking an agreed programme of surveillance, work quality and asset condition checks.

Salary: Band 4C, salary: £41,711 - £46,925
