Our Opportunity

As our store Assistant Manager, you will collaborate with and assist our store General Manager in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our flagship showroom located in Cardiff. A key position overseeing and supporting store colleagues’ team responsibilities across the working day. You will ensure our luxury showroom is safe, secure, and welcoming at all times, for both our colleagues and clientele. Further, you will apply your sound people management skills, imparting training and development to colleagues and assist with our recruitment processes when required.

Assisting in our Cardiff Flagship Showroom, your hours will be 38.75 hours per week, 5 days out of 7.

Main Accountabilities:

· Assist our store management team in ensuring sales targets are achieved, whilst consistently delivering excellent customer service.

· Ensure timely and effective communications with both internal and external stakeholders.

· Maintain a high standard of display for windows, store interior and store exterior ensure our colleagues follow your lead.

· Motivate and drive colleagues and self, to deliver sales targets and team objectives.

· Conduct regular product reviews and organise immediate replenishment of best-selling key lines.

· Ensure showroom and colleagues are always safe and secure, in line with Laings company procedures.

· Organise and undertake training when and where requested.

· Step up to manage our store in the absence of our store General Manager.

· Maintain health and safety awareness, making sure our colleagues always understand and abide by Health and Safety guidelines.

Skills requested:

· A minimum two years’ experience in retail management, ideally within jewellery (highly desirable) or luxury goods (desirable).

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to influence respectfully.

· Meticulous attention to detail and a passion for luxury and quality.

· Sound interpersonal and customer service skills

· Ability to work calmly when required to multitask and manage varying responsibilities in store.

· Confident leadership skills, able to proactively contribute to teamwork.

· Able to take responsibility for own actions and performance, along with colleagues.

· An entrepreneur mindset with a commercial awareness.
