Old Thorns Hotel & Resort have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our Restaurant team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality and can work well within our existing Restaurant team to ensure the smooth running of our Kings Restaurant and provide our customers with the best experience possible. We offer a brasserie menu, hot rocks and Sunday carvery, with 180 covers.
You will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, organisational and communication skills and be passionate and knowledgeable about all our hotel facilities and outlets. Having the ability to anticipate guest needs and nurture the journey for the guest is essential.
Main Responsibilities undertaking and assisting Restaurant Manager with:
· Coordination of the day to day running of our busy restaurant to include services for up to 400 guests.
· Management of our FOH team of up to 30 staff, preparation of the staff Rota for the department inline with business needs
· Comprehensive knowledge of all the menus including wine lists and beverage available.
· Ensuring that the restaurant is always kept to a high level of cleanliness.
· Being responsible for all stock levels including and not limited to; linen, sundries equipment, tableware and beverage stock
· Building excellent relationships with front of house teams and kitchen teams and being able to communicate between both.
· Having an active role and participate in services which can include; breakfast, lunch and dinner
