Assistant Researcher
Zero hour contract
£25 per hour

My client a boutique research consultancy, has an immediate requirement for a Zero hour, UK based Assistant Researcher to join their team on an ad-hoc, client-by-client contract basis. Our client provides research and consulting services to large SME and corporates and will train the successful candidate on their methods. The client uses proprietary expectations-driven experience measurement methods, followed by change facilitation consulting services.
ACTIVITIES REQUIRED
For each of their clients, you will be required to
· Create a 1st survey – Qualitative survey (using our survey monkey & pre-defined survey format)
· Administer/ manage / chase the survey responses
· Collate, code and sort the open text responses in excel (using our pre-defined qualitative coding structure)
· Create an expectations mind map from the qualitative results (using our mind mapping software)
· Create a 2nd survey – Quantitative Performance Scoring Survey (using survey monkey)
· Administer/ manage /chase the survey responses
· Collate, sort and run basic statistical analysis in Excel on the quantitative responses
· Group/sort any open text comments
· Prepare the slide deck of research results using our predefined scoring displays
Hours required per client project vary widely depending on the scope of research/respondent numbers, however it is often between 30-80 hours per client over a 6-8 week period
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
· Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis
· Excellent attention to, and interpretation of language and meaning within the open text responses is key
· Detail & accuracy oriented
· Basic Quantitative analysis techniques using excel
· Knowledge of the basic constraints and practices of GDPR
· Knowledge and experience of customer and/or employee experience methods and practices an advantage
· Experience working with different countries/cultures, as this has a bearing on interpretation of open text responses an advantage
· Affinity sorting, regression and factor analysis and use of own Statistical other statistical software (EG SPSS) is an advantage
· Collect data via interviews/focus groups rather than online survey, so if you are trained/experienced in doing professional interviews and/or focus groups that will be an advantage
ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
· Excel knowledge
· Survey Monkey experience (or similar)
· Experience producing MS Powerpoint slide decks
· Familiarity with some form of mind mapping software an advantage
· Familiarity working in Microsoft Teams environment (outlook email, SharePoint etc)

EDUCATION
- University degree or higher – Ideally in English, Psychology, Market Research, Business, Maths or Statistics.
