As an Assistant Release Manager, you'll oversee and support the completion of all readiness activities for implementing low-complex or single-platform changes. You'll also support highly complex and multi-platform changes into digital and non-digital channels, ensuring that a clear schedule of events is agreed and all governance requirements are met.
You'll engage with the various Service Delivery teams and Value Streams to have a clear line of sight of the change portfolio and support the Implementation activities accordingly. You will also support the design of bespoke implementation strategies to support complex/non-standard changes, viewing change from various perspectives – customer, service, performance, operations.

As an Assistant Release Manager, you will be responsible for Resourcing and Governance activities. You will support the Senior Release Managers with coordination, schedule of events (SOE) and delivery of implementation activities to ensure our new services, infrastructure and code is implemented safely into the live environment. Flexibility is key as you'll be required to work over some evenings and weekends.
You’ll also:
- Engage with delivery teams, the Infrastructure Delivery Manager (IDM) and the Business to ensure that the right resources are aligned to support Implementation activities
- Support the Senior Implementation Managers to deliver application change into live environment working safely without disruption to service
- Ensure that the right Governance Processes and procedures are adhered to
What you’ll need
- A background in Implementation/Release Management but we are willing to train/mentor the right person who has experience in Project Management or Change Management
- Good technical knowledge and skills in relation to Payments applications (but not essential)
- Good communication skills to interact with a range of teams in both the business and technical domain.
- Good customer and relationship management skills; ensuring everyone is clear on the processes and outcomes of changes with protection of service in mind.
- A positive outlook to joining us on this journey as we learn and grow together and adopt new methodologies where appropriate.
- A can-do attitude / self-motivated individual who can demonstrate energy and enthusiasm to the get the job done in a fast-paced environment.
