TeamNNUH are recruiting for an Assistant Manager to join their recruitment team to specifically support the on-boarding of internationally recruited staff. You will be joining a fast paced organisation, and the recruitment team supports managers and colleagues alike with practical on- boarding activities, as well as advice and guidance on recruitment strategies, best practice and legislation.
This post will support the NNUH through an exciting period as we work to recruit, primarily, to our Nursing vacancies. You will work very closely with Senior Nursing colleagues and external stakeholders, including the UKVI and local recruitment collaborations/ agencies, to ensure that staff are recruited in line with our key principles of Fast, Safe, Welcoming and Innovative Recruitment and the NHS Employers pre-employment recruitment checks.
Whilst this role will be for a fixed term of 1 year, it will be an excellent opportunity for any experienced recruitment professional looking to gain experience of the management of high volume recruitment processes with a large employer. You will also be fully supported in post by a range of colleagues across recruitment and the wider HR team and the automated systems we have in place to manage our recruitment streams.
You will support a team of recruiters, helping them to expediate pre- employment recruitment checks and working to tight deadlines to ensure that the required contractual documentation is in place prior to start dates. You will also play a part in supporting the wider recruitment plans for the hospital by providing information to Workforce Groups and monitoring feedback from candidates and managers alike.
We are looking for a confident individual, able to prioritise a busy workload and support others to do the same. Previous experience of recruitment and/or on-boarding will be essential along with the ability to manage and positively influence key relationships both inside and outside the organisation.

To support the Recruitment Manager in the day-to-day management of the Trust’s Central Recruitment Service to ensure high quality recruitment provision. This will involve liaison with:
- managers and staff in the Trust
- members of the public
- external organisations (including other Trusts, NHS Employers, CIPD and UKVI etc.)
To ensure that all recruitment processes comply with Employment Checks Policy and associated Procedures and central NHS Employers Standards. Keep the team updated on legislative changes or national initiatives particularly with regards to DBS and Visa applications. Participate in policy reviews as required.
To develop and update guidance notes and provide advice to the Central Recruitment Service team members on all aspects of the recruitment remit.
To assist the Recruitment Manager in ensuring the Recruitment Team meet the Trust standards for the Central Recruitment Service and comply with the CRS SLA.
To support the Central Recruitment Service to develop their skills and technical knowledge relating to recruitment legislation, procedures and systems, sharing knowledge gained from project work.
