Job description
We have an exciting opportunity to join our fast-growing structural engineering company, specialising in steel mezzanine flooring, to provide commercial support to the business in the overall management of projects for UK & EU. Review, delivery and management of project cost and value reconciliation. The reporting and analysis of performance against budgets. Customer valuations and contract review. Probity and governance surrounding the engagement and management of sub-contractors.
· Managing cost and value: measured through monthly cost, value reconciliation on all projects.
· Pre-Construction: Commercial and legal review of all Contracts with team, setting and agreeing budgets.
· Procurement: Supporting the Project management team in engaging and contracting with Sub-Contractors. Ensuring compliance with policies, management rules and the delegation of authority.
· Set up and agree valuation dates with the Project team, customer and Sub-Contractors.
· Construction Phase: Manage the overall cost and value of each project through preparation of CVRs, Cost to complete, Cashflow forecasting and attending regular Project meetings to meet cut off dates.
· Submit timely and accurate valuations, work in progress, sub-contract applications and cost to complete reporting to agreed standards.
· Support the Projects teams in preparation and management of variations, early warnings notices and compensation events, raise non-conformity reports and final account statements to agreed standards.
· Ensure that costs are updated in the ERP in a timely and accurate manner.
· All activities comply with MiTek’s management rules and policies.
· Analysis and reporting to the regional leadership team.
· Other duties identified by the Contracts & Procurement Director.
Education and Training
· Educated to degree level/ professional qualification or equivalent experience.
· CSCS card
· MRICS or 5 years’ experience in a similar role
