Aylesbury Crisis Response and Home Treatment Team
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to join our Psychological service within our Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHT) . We are looking for a graduate psychologist who wishes to develop their skills in a acute mental health services. You will have experience of working with people with Adult mental health problems. and in return, we offer you experience in supporting psychological assessments and conducting short term interventions for our service users. You will have an extremely supportive team and supervisor to work with and opportunities to develop your skills and experience.
The Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) in Buckinghamshire Mental Health Services is a key part of the Acute/Urgent Care Pathway. The team are part of an exciting and developing service aimed at supporting our most vulnerable patients and their families in the least restrictive setting possible, sometimes by providing a variety of interventions at home.
The Buckinghamshire Psychological Therapies Pathway has over 200 psychological therapists, including Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, CBT Therapists, Psychotherapists and Assistant Psychologists, providing a wide range of evidence based and innovative psychological therapies for adults and older adults. We are based among the beautiful rolling Chiltern Hills, making Buckinghamshire and the surrounding area, stunning places to work and live.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about working with acute and crisis mental health services and who would like to develop their skills in delivering evidence based interventions and support high quality assessments and risk plans. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside a range of practitioners. Clinical supervision is provided along with opportunities for training and continued professional development and there are strong links with local professional leads.

The Psychological Service in the Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) sits withing a team of highly skilled mental health staff which include Nurses, Psychiatrists, Occupational Therapists and Social Workers.
We offer a range of psychological, medical and social interventions for service users who are experiencing severe mental health experiences, these can be separated into Urgent and Emergency mental health needs.
In Buckinghamshire we have two CRHT teams, one based in North and one is South. This post is for the North team based in Aylesbury. There maybe some occasional need for travel to the South CRHT team which is based in Chiltern.
You will work closely with the Consultant Clinical Psychologist in the CRHT team and support them in achieving key objectives of delivering integrated, safe, accessible, responsive, effective and caring services to people in Buckinghamshire.
In turn, you will receive clinical supervision and will have access to a wide range of CPD activities and a strong network of Psychologists in Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. There are excellent opportunities for service development, service evaluation/research and teaching/training. The service has excellent links with the Oxford Institute of Clinical Psychology Training and Research and regularly has trainees doing clinical placements and research. Clinical psychologists are actively involved in research and innovation.
