The Opportunity

We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Project Manager- Community to join the regeneration and community partnerships directorate, to assist the team with a range of exciting projects across Education, Youth and Community.

The role will be required to lead on stakeholder management for the team, managing our extensive databases, the various distribution lists and networks, along with drafting and coordinating content. We are looking for someone who can support the team with outreach and engagement activity, including relationship management.

The role will work on diverse projects that include East Summer School, East Careers Week, Elevate Youth Programme and our Community Anchors Programme, all working with some incredible community partners, local residents, cultural institutions and universities. This is a really exciting time of our programme as we look to develop further and scale the opportunity.

Ideally the candidate will have experience of supporting on projects of varying sizes and have an interest and/or experience of working with the community.

LLDC will require the successful candidate to have advanced administration skills, organisational skills and the ability to work effectively in the team and efficiently throughout its busiest period.

Some of our community projects take place outside of normal working hours and occasionally you may be required to work evenings and possibly weekends.

Is it for you?

You will have a positive, proactive attitude and with experience of supporting at all stages of a project. You should have good time management and processing skills, as we are a busy team, and have multiple projects running simultaneously, that will require excellent time management and organisational skills.

You will have extensive experience of stakeholder management and taking responsibility of managing complex databases, along with being highly competent in all administrative tasks.

You will be a confident communicator, and enjoy engaging with our wide range of stakeholders. In this role, we are looking for a talented individual with relevant lived experience of working with diverse communities like those we serve in east London and who is looking to develop skills further.
