Salary: £45,000 Basic Per Annum + £500 Car allowance + Bonus of up to 17.5% - Total package up to £59,925

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: Ellesmere Port, CH65 4EQ

We are currently looking for someone to directly manage contractors and sub-contractors as directed by the PM and assist with the planning, scheduling and managing of planned events. The individual needs to be a key person in ensuring safety policies and procedures are adhered to at all times whilst driving a continuous safety culture within the team. The role will require continuous monitoring of project progress and following up with stakeholders on the completion or delay of project phases, assisting the PM with scheduling and delivering management meetings whilst maintaining project documentation and reports. The individual will require a positive attitude with the passion for self development and the development of others. They will need to be self-motivated and independent with aptitude for developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Coordination and management of daily operations including KPI’s and logistics is key in this position and strong leadership qualities are essential for the role.

What will you be doing?

  • Project team leadership, coordination and management of daily operations.
  • Assist the PM with the management and execution of projects under CDM Regulations.
  • Continuous improvement of job methods and research of industry best practice.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Safety leadership.
  • Engagement with client key stakeholders.
  • Assist the Project Manager with leading schedule progress and safety meetings.
  • Coordination of all subcontractor groups.
  • Research information to support other teams and departments as required.
  • Keep track of and report on project progress.
  • Complete any tasks assigned by the Project Manager in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Project Manager orderly and efficiently.
  • To act as a temporary Project Manager during times of absence or holidays.
  • Assist the PM in managing project variations.

What are we looking for?

  • IOSH/NEBOSH trained or working towards.
  • Organisational and project management skills.
  • Team working.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Technical, engineering and process understanding.
  • CDM experience desired but not essential.
  • Commercially aware, excellent communication and negotiating skills.
  • Proficient in Google Suite, project management software and familiar with file sharing methodology.
  • Familiar with SSOW and CMMS systems.
  • Able to read and extract necessary information from engineering drawings.
  • Adopts a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Industrial tank cleaning experience desired but not compulsory.
