Assistant Project Manager
About the Role
Assistant Project Manager – Interconnectors: Head Office Warwick, onsite work is in the Southeast, as well as hybrid working. This role will involve some GB and EU travel.

We are looking for Assistant Project Managers to join our newly formed Construction team, who are responsible for delivering the exciting Interconnectors CAPEX portfolio construction activities, which are mainly located in the southeast.
The role represents a fantastic opportunity to not only prepare for the Protection of our Assets alongside refurbishment works, but also undertake the development and construction activities associated with our Multi-Purpose Interconnectors.
What you'll be getting up to
- Support Project Engineers by providing timely scheme information to delivery teams including design information, equipment, cost and budget information. Also, in selecting efficient contracting strategy for schemes, supporting production of competent Site and Works Information and supporting tender evaluation.
- Perform the role of CDM-coordinator or arrange for the provision of a CDMC for each project as required.
- Manage and co-ordinate Contractors and project teams to successfully deliver allocated schemes to time, cost and specification in line with regulatory targets.
- Monitor Contractor site activities to ensure compliance with SHES standards, Health & Safety, Environmental legislation and CDM regulations, undertaking site audits as required.
- Support the Portfolio level Project Engineer to control investments throughout delivery providing regular project status reports including SHE performance, milestone progress, risk management and competent, accurate and timely financial information.
About You
- Basic Project Management skills including experience of management of risk, scope, time, cost, quality, safety and security of supply.
- Basic understanding and Knowledge of Contract management
- Working experience of Safety and Environmental legislation, practices and policies.
- Working experience of problem solving and an appetite for continuous improvement.
