Assistant Planner – Franchise and Travel Retail
Department overview:
The Franchise and Travel Retail channels are part of the Wholesale team within Michael Kors and responsible for 150+ stores spanning 30+ countries in EMEAI; including Lifestyle Stores, Multi-brand, Outlet and Ecommerce.
The Planning function defines the strategic plans and works collaboratively with Buying, Sales, Operations, Logistics and VM to maximize commercial opportunities to drive the business forward.
The team operate in a fast-paced environment and must be agile and dynamic to cater for the partner needs.

What You’ll Do:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide support to the Franchise and Travel Retail Partners, Product Planners and Commercial teams; to provide sales analysis and contribute to the strategic planning to ensure that Partners have the correct assortments and optimum stocks to achieve sales and sell-through targets.

Produce and analyze weekly trade reports recapping sales, inventory and trade actions.

Attend calls/meetings with Partners to recap the current business and provide analysis to enable discussions regarding historical sales and strategic direction; utilizing this to make suggestions to drive the business forward.

Support Product Planners to maintain the trading calendar; plan EOSS and promotional activity.

Work alongside Wholesale Planning team to maintain and develop planning tools and internal reporting systems; identify and execute improvements to enhance ways of working.

Responsible for managing weekly review of NOS program; highlighting and proposing replenishment opportunities and leading conversations with Partners, challenging where necessary.

Ensure annual sales budgets and in-season re-forecasts are accurately reported on internal systems.

Own the actualizing of all Partner WSSIs.

For select partners; utilize WSSIs to re-forecast and manage in-season stock decisions to maximize sales and minimize terminal stocks.

Plan seasonal open-to-buy for select Partners using the WSSIs and presenting to Product Planners for sign-off.

Assist in the planning and execution of new store openings and exit strategies for store closures.

Assist Buying/Sales teams in market preparations and attend select Partner buying appointments.

Produce ad hoc sales and stock reports to support trade analysis and strategic decision making.

Support Planning Coordinator to prioritize and manage their day-to-day workload.

Oversee and ensure that the Planning Coordinator’s job responsibilities are completed accurately and efficiently.
You’ll Need to Have:

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree

Solid experience within a Planning, Allocation or Merchandising position (preferably within wholesale)

Advanced Excel skills
-
Strong analytical, numerical and problem solving skills.

Effective communication skills
-
Experience in an International Brand/ retailer preferred
