Job Introduction

BBC Cymru Wales Sport has a good track record of developing and delivering original and different output on television, radio, online and on Social Media. The department produces live and pre-recorded content for BBC Cymru Wales and S4C, and is home to some of the major BBC and S4C brands, including Scrum V, Match of the Day and The Rugby Club.

Main Responsibilities

The Assistant Producer will be expected to work on live rugby and football programs, as well as other pre-recorded programs.

We have a background of successfully delivering a range of high-quality documentaries for BBC Wales and S4C. The successful Producer will play an important part in building on this success by helping to develop new ideas and help deliver on time and within budget.

Are you the right candidate?

• A sound knowledge and understanding of our product and audience are essential.
• Ability to participate in the development of concepts and content for specific programs, including; feature programs, promotional materials, graphics and all elements that reach BBC Wales/S4C viewers.
• Ability to produce, edit and write scripts, snippets, features and other elements for live and recorded shows.
• Experience providing story ideas to develop program elements, from concept to delivery.
