HRUC (Harrow Richmond and Uxbridge Colleges) is a newly merged College Group, bringing together Richmond Upon Thames College and HCUC (2017 merger of Harrow College and Uxbridge College) in January 2023.
As a newly merged large further education college group, we are a hugely ambitious organisation with very high expectations. Based in the London boroughs of Harrow, Hillingdon and Richmond upon Thames, we have five campuses at Harrow on the Hill, Harrow Weald, Hayes, Uxbridge and Richmond upon Thames.
The then HCUC is noted as a highly successful FE College in West London, presenting the highest 16-18 Achievement in London over four years, with 14 of 14 Subject sector areas above national average - noted by Ofsted as providing Outstanding Quality of Education.
Harrow College is seeking an Assistant Principal – Student Aspiration & Projects to join our ambitious team who will have an excellent track record in Further Education who can build upon the excellent track record of the College, adding value to our progress as a newly merged group.
We wish to appoint someone who:
- Has considerable experience and a proven track record of leading whole college programmes and with a track record of raising academic standards.
- Can drive shared merger activity towards a high performing and harmonised quality and curriculum culture of excellence through merger.
- Is able to develop and share a strategic vision and engage others in achieving it.
- Is an outstanding leader with sound judgement, well developed interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire others
- Has the highest expectations, determination, resilience and compassion in equal measure
- Can build strong partnerships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Has a clear understanding and vision about the future of Further Education over the long term.
- Can lead on a significant cross-College group oversight role:
- Student enrichment,
- Student engagement initiatives,
- Student personal development incl. At Risk Students,
- Tutorials
- T Level & Transition programme teaching, learning and assessmen including course modelling
- Aspects of project work
