Job Description
We are looking for two aspiring Media Managers with a passion for sport to join our team to help us to deliver The Hundred this year - spectacular entertainment and intense cricket action at the height of the summer.
This is a highly sought-after and paid opportunity to work with one of The Hundred's city-based teams as an Assistant Media Manager
You will provide support for the Media Manager at one of The Hundred teams - working alongside players and staff – and get experience to help tell the stories of cricket’s new and exciting competition.
Successful candidates will have a can-do and positive approach, and are willing to work collaboratively as part of a team.
You will get support from the ECB and our partners to equip you with the skills and opportunities that will not only allow you to deliver the role but also to help you to take the next step in your career. We have also teamed up with the award winning not-for-profit organisation 'People Like Us' who have kindly offered succesful candidates an opportunity to opt into a voluntary mentorship programme following on from the tournament.
Applicants should be available to attend The Hundred matches in August in addition to two player content days in July (you will be asked to confirm this during the application process).
Dates for the August fixtures are below:
Manchester Originals : 5th, 7th, 20th and 23rd August
Birmingham Phoenix: 5th, 10th, 13th and 24th August
Two dates in July will be confirmed at a later date.
We will also be holding a welcome day at Lord's (London) which is currently penciled in for Monday 26th June that all candidates would be expected to attend. Travels expenses for the welcome day will be covered.
As part of the application process you will be required to submit why you would like to be part of The Hundred family, as well as answer some other questions which will give us the opportunity to learn about your experience, skills and your passion.
Please note: You will also be asked to submit a copy of your CV but this will not be shared with the panel as part of the initial blind review of the applications.
For information purposes and planning, please see the timeline we are proposing for the process:
Deadline for applications -21st May 2023
Applications will be reviewed between - 22nd and 24th May 2023
Candidates will be updated on applications by 26th May 2023
Online interviews will be held with multiple assessor panel between 5th – 9th June 2023 (virtually via Teams)
Offers will be made circa 16th June 2023
