Job Description
As part of our ambition to drive the strongest brands in market an exciting opportunity has come up within the Marketing Communications team as an Assistant Marketing Manager working on the Halifax brand.

You’ll report to the Marketing Manager and can expect regular engagement with the Senior Marketing Manager and Marketing Communications Director on your recommendations.

As Assistant Marketing Manager, key accountabilities will include:
  • Supporting the brand communications team in the development of marketing activities and campaigns to support business goals:
  • Working with agency partners including media and creative, alongside key internal colleagues to enable brilliant marketing execution.
  • Ability to effectively and accurately translate and interpret the brand promise, visual identity and tone of voice into marketing communications.
  • Using strong creative judgement to contribute to the delivery of market leading campaigns.
  • Ensuring all campaigns are delivered efficiently and within budget and to agreed live dates.

We're looking for the following skills & experience:
  • Creative Excellence: Highly experienced in advertising and brand marketing communications driving creative excellence - conceptual and executional; together with innovative media partnerships and proven social and media excellence.
  • Campaign Delivery: Highly experienced in developing and implementing large, complex integrated marketing campaigns within risk and governance frameworks. Strong production experience of ATL channels including TV, OOH, Radio, Digital and social are essential with knowledge of levers to deliver continual speed to market improvements.
  • Marketing Channels: Strong understanding of the opportunities and constraints across Paid (TV, OOH, Radio, Social, Digital and media partnerships), earned (PR) and owned (Branch, Dot.com and IB) marketing channels; used to ensure the best fit between channel planning, customer insight and Comms task, so that plans are appropriate to agreed targets.
  • Influencing and relationship management: Experienced in establishing excellent collaborative working relationships with key partners to deliver shared objectives.
  • Cultural Fit: Demonstrates passion, determination and creative bravery to build market leading advertising. As part of a hard-working team, teamwork and collaboration is essential to enable us to achieve our year end brand targets.
Location and Ways of Working:
Our team is predominately based in our London hub; therefore, ideally you'd be based here, but we're flexible on location for the right person, just as long as your open to travel for the occasional team meeting. We work in a hybrid model, splitting our time between working from home and 2 Days in the Office.
