An exciting opportunity has arisen for a experienced clinician to join our well established high performing Early Intervention Service.
In the Early Intervention Service, we're responsible for providing care and treatment for adolescents and adults with first episode psychosis across Oxfordshire. The service offers, among other functions, assessment and formulation of first episode Psychosis and assessment and treatment of at risk mental states, providing evidence-based interventions and highly specialist treatment interventions. We are at the forefront of developing new treatments to further improve the care that we offer.
The role involves being part of the senior clinical team to set out the vision for the service, as well as lead it operationally. The Early Intervention Team in Oxford is a well-established, high quality service providing multidisciplinary team working across Oxfordshire.
- To work as an integral member of service’s leadership Team to deliver a high-quality responsive service to meet the needs of the team and drive standards to offer excellent care.
- Work towards a culture where services are seamlessly integrated.
- Put in place and monitor arrangements for partnership working across the localities in line with KPIs
- To develop robust integrated relationships with local referring agencies, as well as other key agencies, supporting the development of integrated care pathways and locality working.

We work alongside researchers from the University of Oxford and have several clinical-academic posts within our service. We undertake a variety of research within the service, ranging from studies to understand the causes of psychosis, through to developing new treatments and evaluating the effectiveness of the service as a whole. We offer training opportunities in specific interventions such as Behavioural Family Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and are keen to develop our staff to deliver an excellent service.

The post holder will have experience of supporting and managing staff in a clinical setting and a proven track record of high performance. You will take overall management responsibility for all aspects of service delivery and operational matters for the Oxfordshire wide early interventions service.
We are a team who are involved with research and regularly link with research projects connected with Early Intervention. We highly regard one another's professional background and support each other to contribution to the care of our patients.
We view supervision as fundamental to the functioning of the team both clinically and in terms of the wellbeing of our staff. Our working hours for the Early Intervention Service are Monday-Friday 09:00-17:00.

- New starters have a 6 month probationary period. This, together with the induction process aims to create a positive supportive working environment allowing new employees to learn key elements of their role over a reasonable timescale.
- Candidates not currently employed by the Trust who attend an interview for non-qualified Band 1-5 posts are required to undertake numeracy and literacy assessments.
