To do this, we invest in outstanding people. We build teams of future thinkers, with diverse talents and backgrounds, and empower them all to reach for and achieve more.

What brings us all together at Deloitte? It’s how we approach the thousands of decisions we make every day. How we behave, our beliefs and our attitudes. In other words: our values. Whatever we do, wherever we are in the world, we lead the way, serve with integrity, take care of each other, foster inclusion, and collaborate for measurable impact. These five shared values lead every decision we make and action we take, guiding us to deliver impact how and where it matters most.

The role will sit in the firm’s External Relations team, working with the Senior Public Affairs Manager on the planning and delivery of the firm’s political engagement activities, but liaising with colleagues across the firm – from the Executive, Vice Chairs and industry/regional leaders to policy, research, marketing, digital and communications teams.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the delivery of Deloitte’s political engagement strategy
  • Facilitating engagement between Deloitte and key political stakeholders
  • Liaising with external organisation such as government departments, Parliament, business groups and trade associations
  • Drafting briefing materials and correspondence for both senior Deloitte leaders and political stakeholders
  • Monitoring external political and media developments of relevance to the firm

Skills and requirements you will need to demonstrate include:

  • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously and under time pressure
  • Experience in dealing with senior internal and external stakeholders – from senior business leaders to government Ministers and Members of Parliament
  • Strong time management, planning and organisation skills
  • Experience of arranging events and meetings with senior stakeholders (such as 1-2-1 meetings, roundtable discussions, client events, conference events)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build working relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to produce concise and accessible written content for senior internal and external stakeholders
  • A keen interest in politics, policy, and the news agenda
