SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

Forming part of the Club Management team, the Assistant Manager will assist in managing all aspects of the operation to ensure that standards across the venue are maintained to the highest levels. Both during operational shifts and office/back of house shifts, take ownership of your areas of responsibilities ensuring the best outcome for the business whether it be profit maximisation, cost control, customer care and safety, service and standards, or venue cleanliness and presentation.

With the Deputy and Club Manager, plan and prepare the Club for each event, assisting in the opening set up and briefings for the various departments – including setting the stage for the ‘show’ and for staff to enjoy this. Assist the Deputy Manager in all bar and floor operations with emphasis on Bar, Cloakroom, Cleaning staff and service.

A key priority will be assisting with the recruitment of the very best candidates for operational positions through open days, interviews and recommendations from others. These candidates will undertake a flawless induction process ensuring a great start to their employment from day one.

Contribute to and lead/assist in the training and development of the team, team building and staff retention, the issuing of staff rotas and – working with HR – the administration of Payroll and employee record-keeping.

Assist with stock management of all types, service standards, financial controls and administration. Working with senior Management and other company departments including Events, Finance, Facilities.

Implement consistently excellent standards of service, revenue generation, cost control, building and equipment controls, and standards of safety.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

MANAGEMENT

Provide support to the Club Management team with managerial cover for the Deputy Manager as needed Manage and administer all non-liquor ordering, maintaining product par levels and negotiating prices Assist in managing the night staff team, dynamically leading in the Admissions process, including ticket entry, search, Cloakroom, VIP hosting and Front Gate as needed Support the Bar operation, venue cleaning and general management of all aspects of each event including any incidents

PEOPLE SKILLS

Operate with the highest of standards of planning, preparation and operation at each event whilst mentoring and motivating the staff to achieve the required standards, either leading or supporting the briefing process Maintain strong staff relationships and a positive work environment managing staff retention and commitment from the team Support the management of all bar, floor, back of house and stock areas, reporting maintenance issues in a prompt manner, always ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and functionality

ADMINISTRATION

Assist in stock control on a nightly basis to ensure maximum profitability, minimal stock loss Forecast staffing levels needed for all events throughout the calendar and working with all other departments to ensure full complements in all departments Constantly communicate with the bar and wider support team all information relevant to their job role, whether it be stock updates, upcoming events, changes to product

OPERATIONS

With the Deputy and Club Manager review all operations, bar set up and procedures to ensure we are delivering the best service to our guests, constantly feedback to the team Attend meetings throughout the week, proactively collaborating with all departments at MoS, to ensure the best result for the business. Generate ideas and improvements on a constant basis Use office time to plan, develop and assist in moving the business forward with the wider management team Familiarise with and follow all MoS policies and procedures, being an ambassador for the brand at all times
