This is an exciting and challenging role for a high calibre and analytical finance professional to gain a unique insight into supporting the delivery of the actual and forecasting results for LBG to senior executives and the potential to influence group decision-making.

Central Finance is a Finance Partner for the Group and operates at the heart of the finance community providing analysis, insight, strategic direction and control to a range of senior partners. It is an excellent opportunity for colleagues to challenge and stretch themselves, personally driving and shaping the function, and to ensure that LBG, as an organisation, continues to progress towards its strategic aims.

Within Central Finance, The Group Financial Planning and Reporting team is responsible for producing the Group’s key financial results including the regular monthly management results, the quarterly forecasts, and the annual 4-year operating plan. In addition, the team is responsible for providing support to the Group Chief Executive and Chief Financial Officer in the presentation of the Group’s results, internally and externally.

The team is key to ensuring high quality outputs and leads the development of the Group’s reporting processes. The timely and accurate provision of this information, together with insightful analysis of business performance, to senior executives, Group Executive Committee and Board, facilitates decision making and control across the Group.

What would you get involved in?
Consolidation of LBG Group and sub-Group results and assisting in the production of insight/analysis to develop a deep understanding of Group and Divisional performance. You'll support us with:
  • External results communication including market messaging through Q&A
  • Month-end management reporting
  • Control over the Group’s ledger, ensuring this lands in line with expectations
  • Quarterly forecasts
  • Annual 4 Year Operating Plan (4YOP)

This will involve:
  • Preparation of GEC/Board outputs to support Senior Group stakeholders including GEC and Group Board
  • Understanding and effective communication of LBG Results from both Divisional, Legal Entity and Group perspective
  • Building trusted relationships across divisional and central finance teams
  • Use of Planning Analytics tool
  • Contribute to team development activities including identifying and driving opportunities for process improvement and ongoing enhancement of our analytical capability
  • Working in a fast paced environment

Who are we looking for?
It would be ideal if you were a qualified accountant and had experience in:
  • Intellectual curiosity and analytical ability
  • Self-starter attitude and comfortable dealing with ambiguity
  • Collaborates effectively within a flat team structure
  • Ability to form positive relationships with stakeholders
  • Experience using Planning Analytics desirable
  • Good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint including how to effectively present financial and written information in a persuasive way
