Summary

The University of Surrey Students’ Union is at an exciting moment in its history as we look to improve upon our recent NSS results that showed we were the 7th best Students’ Union in the UK. We have a vibrant 1500 capacity venue, Rubix, and we are excited to be recruiting a new member of our Community team to work with us to ensure its continued success.

Grade and salary – 3 £29,886 per annum

The Role

Our Main venue, Rubix is one of the biggest licensed venues south of London, a truly multi-purpose venue. Its core nights are Wednesday and Friday but there is always something going on throughout the week. It’s part of the Student Union venue family and you will be joining the compact team running our spaces across both campuses whilst primarily focusing our main venue. We are about creating fun environments with lots of freedom for your input and development.

You will be part of the Community Zone which oversees student entertainment, volunteering, raising and giving, engagement within the local community and leads on sustainability at the University and within the student body. The Community Zone is also responsible for organising showcase events throughout the year.
