We are looking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to join our Finance Team. This is an exciting role in the business and will give the successful candidate the opportunity to learn and achieve personal growth within a fast paced business.
What’s the opportunity?
The Assistant Management Accountant is responsible for working within the Management Accounts team to produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts and departmental reports to strict deadlines.
What does the role involve?
- Working in a small team producing journals, accruals and prepayments to prepare monthly management accounts
- P&L account analysis and review against budget and prior year
- Business partnering including attending quarterly reviews with responsible head office budget holders
- Balance sheet reconciliation accounts and timely resolve of issues as appropriate
- Cash management forecasting including weekly receipts and payments
- Weekly management reports (bookings and deliveries) for issue to senior managers and Directors
- Provide cover when required for Finance Admin tasks, between head office, the branch network and external bodies such as finance houses and landlords
Who are we looking for?
- Accounts experience with a proven track record
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Desire to achieve further qualification in Accountancy
- An ability to prioritise your workload to achieve tight deadlines
- Willingness to question how things are done and to come up with suggestions on improvement
