We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated individual who is looking to expand their knowledge
Working as part of the Knowledge & Library Services team, the Assistant Information Librarian will assist in the development and delivery of efficient and effective knowledge & library services. The post will have specific responsibility for the delivery of the evidence searching service and library and information skills training programme
- To deliver of an effective enquiry service by undertaking evidence searches and providing customers with high quality, reliable and relevant information
- To plan, promote and deliver a programme of library & information skills (LIS) training to individuals / groups to help them develop the skills needed to identify and appraise appropriate sources of information to inform best practice and improve patient care. This will include Library Induction sessions to staff and students.
- To deliver KLS outreach services at the point of need e.g. community, clinical & acute settings (onsite & virtually)
Located on the border with Wales in the shadow of the Black Mountains, we provide acute and community services across Herefordshire and into parts of Powys and run Hereford County Hospital and the community hospitals in Bromyard, Leominster and Ross-on-Wye.
