Assistant HR Manager - TCAT Pay range 8/9 Depending on Experience FTE £26,598 - £34,693

The Canterbury Academy Trust is looking to recruit an Assistant HR Manager to join our friendly and supportive HR Department based at The Canterbury Academy. As an Assistant HR Manager, you will be working as part of a team who pride themselves on delivering a highly effective and efficient HR service for The Trust. The HR Team work closely with The Trust Executive Board.

We are looking for an efficient and well organised individual with excellent communication skills and a commitment to ensure high levels of confidentiality are adhered to at all times. This is a flexible but rewarding role within a highly supportive team.

Main duties to include:

  • Assisting in the recruitment process
  • Maintaining staff database and personnel files
  • Ensure absence information is tracked, monitored and updated, producing absence reports on a termly basis
  • Drafting letters and reports as requested (Please refer to the attached job description for further details)

Previous experience of working in a school environment would be an advantage, together with a minimum Level 3 CIPD qualification although not essential for the right candidate.

Ideally, we would like to fill the role with a full-time person based on 37 hours per week all year round, however, term time only + 2 additional weeks in the school holiday period would be considered for the right candidate.
