Iconic Leeds venue: Water Lane Boathouse is recruiting an Assistant Manager.
THE VENUE
Waterfront bar & beer garden. Brought to you by the team behind Headrow House & Belgrave Music Hall. Serving a fine selection of beers, wines & fresh food. Now over 5 years old, The Boathouse continues to go from strength to strength, establishing itself as one of the city’s best Canalside venues.
THE ROLE
Applicants must have an eye for detail and be prepared to lead from the front. Good stock control and an understanding of having a tight grasp of the P&L in their previous roles is a must. Also experience driving wet and dry sales to develop year-on-year growth is vital.
It is essential applicants have a strong background in running very busy sites at AGM level, experience in dealing with a kitchen that produces fresh food and a managing a large enthusiastic team.
You will be a valuable support to the General Manager and given support and training to make it to the next level.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Be personable, driven, and ambitious
- Have an understanding of P&Ls, Stocks, GPs, compliance
- Has the ability to drive and implement changes based on the venue’s growth strategy
- Have good a strong understanding of the industry and wider cultural sector, including how to provide the customer with an unforgettable experience
- Have excellent eye for detail
- Have good experience in staff training and development
- Be adaptable and think on their feet

Salary: £30,000.00 per year
