An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant General Manager at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, supporting the Growing the Friarage and Community Collaborative.
The post holder will work across the diverse collaborative, within our community hospitals, community nursing, therapy and specialist services, delivered across Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland and Hambleton and Richmondshire. Community services are key to the NHS forward plan so this is an exciting time to join the team.
Teesside is home to vibrant towns, breath taking countryside and stunning coastlines. Whether you fancy a day by the seaside or a walk in the hills, you are never more than 20 minutes drive away from both coast and country. North Yorkshire is England’s largest county with a wide diversity of scenery, historic towns and villages. It covers some of the most remote, rural areas in the country and access to services in these areas is a particular challenge.
As an Assistant General Manager you will need to understand competing priorities and situational assessment to enable you to undertake complex judgements and decisions in a timely and agile environment.
You will need highly developed communication skills with the ability to interpret multiple data sources and will need the ability to influence and instil confidence in others.
Undertaking this role will be both rewarding and challenging, requiring excellent facilitation skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work effectively with a range of colleagues in a variety of settings.
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff to the Trust; this training programme has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the leadership development programme, and the Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. This programme aims to

After you complete this four and a half days of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses dependent upon your role and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7.
