Here at GXO, we’re currently looking for an Assistant General Manager to support our ambient food operation for Marks & Spencer in Milton Keynes. You’ll lead a well-established team and be responsible for engaging both your teams and our customer, ultimately ensuring the operational and commercial success of the business. Pay, benefits and more:
You’ll be paid a salary of up to £62,982 per annum, plus a company car or car allowance of £505 per month. You’ll also receive 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days so you can enjoy a positive work-life balance. What you’ll do on a typical day:
You’ll be responsible for the delivery of the site strategy, both operations and people- You’ll deliver agreed budget KPI’s, achieving flex in the accounts, through driving productivity
- You’ll develop a relationship with the union to support colleague engagement and site initiatives
- You’ll create a culture of safety on site, embedding routine and being able to demonstrate this on the road to zero accidents
What you need to succeed at GXO:
Proven experience in a similar senior management role and environment working with a high-profile customer, ideally in food- Exposure to building strong business relationships with both internal and external customers
- A strong focus on continuous improvement, able to demonstrate where you’ve produced change and the benefits to the company and customer
- Experience of working within a unionised environment
