Job description
I am a busy successful gardener maintaining top end private gardens, communal grounds and commercial sites to a very high standard. The focus of my work is to provide the very highest quality of finish coupled with excellent client/gardener relationships.
I am looking for a full time gardening assistant.
The role is ideally suited to a younger person looking to start out in the industry. I can offer full on the job training to the successful candidate. An interest in gardening and working outdoors is essential.
The successful candidate will be able to follow multi-step instructions whilst also being able to work under their own initiative. They must have a good strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail and be trustworthy and reliable.
Own transport/driving license is not necessary but you must be able to get to a Seaford address reliably for an 8am start every day. Most of the work is in Seaford so a locally based candidate would be preferred.
The work is predominately garden/grounds maintenance; mowing, pruning, hedge cutting, weeding and bed maintenance, with some occasional soft landscaping such as turfing and constructing raised veg beds etc. We would be working for a mix of clients, from high end private gardens and lawns to blocks of flats and commercial sites.
It is a physical job so the successful candidate will need to be fit and comfortable working in all weather. The very nature of the work is seasonal so we will be working longer days and weeks in the summer than the winter. Hours available throughout the year average out to 37 hours per week.
Please apply by emailing a copy of your CV and a cover letter setting out what interests you about this job, your age, any prior experience you may have with gardening and any other information you think might be worth mentioning.
